English Online is a space designed to second the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Training in promoting Distance Education and Training. It offers a 5-semester-course of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) targeted at 1st Year LMD students in Higher Institutes who study English as a cross disciplinary subject. The first semester is scheduled to start in September 2008.
The ESP program is being designed by an outstanding team of professional teachers whose ultimate goal is to equip students with the knowledge and strategies needed to achieve proficiency in English as a foreign language as well as to equip them with new skills which take into consideration the integration of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) in their learning practices, hence the focus on Connect, Communicate, Collaborate.

English Online, also offers tutored online courses targeted at any person who holds the Baccalaureate Certificate and wants to improve his/ her competencies in English.

University teachers of English have the opportunity to use this space to share resources, exchange ideas on subjects of interest and communicate through an online forum designed for them.
