The Virtual University of Tunis offers online English courses to individuals who wish to improve and further develop their reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. Those who are interested need to apply to the VUT. If their application is considered, they will be notified to start the course.
The first English course was launched in an experimental phase in December 2007. It's a communication course titled ''Connect, Communicate, Collaborate'' or CCC. The main focus of this course is on oral communication, which highly interests most people as they find it very difficult and frustrating to express themselves orally.
The learners whose applications were considered for the first session had the opportunity to follow an online course with interactive activities using Moodle platform and to participate on weekly basis in a 2-hour tutoring session using Skype. They, also, had 3 on-site training sessions to give them the chance to meet each other, discuss with their tutors, express their concerns and practise English in a face-to-face setting.
The Virtual University of Tunis gave the successful students certificates of participation. |
