UVT offers you the chance to design contents for on-line training.

Who is concerned?

Who is concerned?

1- Educators belonging to an institution affiliated to the Ministry of Higher Learning, Scientific Research and Technology,

2- Educators with at least the level of Assistant-Professor, or belonging to a research team including at least an Assistant-Professor

How to Proceed?

How to Proceed?

1- The course must belong to a university curriculum,
2- The course must conform to the new LMD programs (this requirement does not concern the medicine courses, the preparatory cycles or the courses for the engineering diploma)
3- The course should not be listed among the courses already oproduced by UVT.
How to conceive the content of training on-line?

Stage 1 -Course submission:
Initially, the educator must fill out a submission form of his course.  The form shall be annexed to a copy of the content. (Please follow this link to fill out the form)
Stage 2-Scientific Evaluation of the Content:

This stage consists in submitting the pedagogic content for assessment by an evaluator designated by UVT.  This evaluator is specialist of the discipline.
The evaluator is required to send an assessment report to the educator.  Following this evaluation, there are three alternatives:

1-the acceptance of the module and turning it over to the production team for media design,
2-a list of recommendations and corrections to be made by the educator,
3-the rejection of the module.

Stage 3 -Training:
Once the course has been accepted, you will be called upon to attend a training workshop which will deal with the following topics:

Training for the scenarization of contents (see detailed program)
Training on the Moodle platform (see detailed program)
Practical training on the mediatization of contents (see detailed program)

Stage 4 - Module Design:

During this stage, what the students are to learn, must be clearly specified and in a detailed manner.  Objectives are often distinguished between general and specific ones.

What is dealt here is the description of the training modalities which consist in describing
the conditions under which the module shall be studied, e.g. tutoring, assisted auto-training, training fully at distance, practice tasks, monitored tasks, case-study etc… étude de cas, etc.
the activities scheduled for learners: e.g. receive help, do exercises, collect data, communicate with a tutor at distance, access resources, test one’s knowledge, publish a document on the Internet etc…
Pedagogic progress: what does the student do, what does the educator do, what does the tutor do etc…
Period, duration, deadlines, rhythms etc…
How to evaluate students.
Work out the studies guide.

The evaluation means shall be determined in relation to the objectives that were set out.
Indeed, once the objectives have been fixed, the question to ask is how to proceed to make sure whether the student has reached those objectives.
In distant learning more than in a traditional course, continuous evaluation is a must and frequency has more importance than the length of the tasks.
The educator can design his module technically if he masters the tools of development.  He may equally delegate this task to a technician while accompanying him during this stage.

1.Tests shall be conceived by the production team of UVT:  checking computer programs: bugs, navigation, interactivity, diverse functionalities, media.
2.Technical tests are equally conducted by the team regarding the installation and functioning conditions on the training platform on-line.
3.Product validation in the final stage by the educator: the educator is called upon to proceed to a re-reading of the module, look for errors, ambiguities etc…
4.Upgrading after putting the course on-line: depending on the assessment of the results of training experience, the module can be upgraded as to its form and content.  “The course designer cannot refuse the modifications of the contents or the pedagogic supports required by the University which can even ask for a new version of the text.”

Author Contract?

Once your proposed course has been retained, you will be requested to sign an author’s  contract with UVT.
