UVT’s Human Resources

Teaching Body

  They are university educators producing contents for trainers or on-line courses and training.  At the same time, they  ensure courses in person within the Tunisian universities:


 Professors and Technology Professors;
 Associate Professors and Technology Masters;
 Assistant-Professors and Technology Specialists;
 Assistants and Technology Specialists Assistants;
 Agrégés Professors, Principal Professors, Secondary Education Teachers.



Their role consists in the main in :

 preparing all the written documentation pertaining to their course;
 ensuring the participation of all the persons to be interviewed in the context  of the production of audio-visual documents;
 identifying the sources of the written or audio-visual documents utilized in the courses which may have to comply to copyrights;
 evaluating pedagogic aids other than the written (pictures, photos and other illustrative documents),
 ensuring their conformity and their concordance with the written aids before their diffusion,
 reviewing and revising all the undertakings requested by UVT,
 providing UVT with the precise descriptions, the sources, the source codes and all the information needed by the research and the implementation of the iconographic support of the module.

 The evaluators are educators, professors or associate professors hired by UVT for the purpose of evaluating the scientific contents of courses.  Their role consists in:

 

 ascertaining the conformity of the teaching units to the official programs,

 ensuring the quality of the methodological and pedagogic approach of the teaching unit,

 evaluating the learning activities,

 proposing corrections and suggestions to improve content.

 The generalization of transversal trainings (C2I, English, entrepreneurship…) is based to a large extent on the correspondent’s action who must be designated in each establishment by the Dean.

His competence and motivation are thus paramount.  He works in close collaboration with the Director of Studies of the institution as well as with the Director of Virtual Education of the University.

His mission is to prepare the setting up of the program of learning on-line in collaboration with other educators from his institution.  The correspondent is entrusted with the animation, the coordination and the follow-up of the program
.

The coordinator is a university educator with the attributes of chief of project.  His mission is to coordinate the activities of one of the trainings on-line of UVT.

 The tutors’ mission is to welcome, help, inform and guide the learners during their training and to see to their respecting their schedule.
They guarantee the quality of training.  Consequently, the tutors are educators trained and qualified in the domain of e-learning, in charge of accompanying and supporting the learner all along his apprenticeship.

DEV

The Department Directors of Virtual Education (DEV)

 The director of the Department of Virtual Education “DEV” is an educator designated within each university.  The DEV is one of the main actors who contribute to the realization of the goals of 20% of the educators on-line and generally speaking to the modernizing of the tools and methods for learning.

 What can the DEV do to promote Virtual Education?

 optimize the use of the pedagogic resources on-line,

 organize actions to train and mobilize educators and other actors,

 support transversal trainings on-line,

 motivate educators to produce new contents on-line,

 identify obstacles to the development of virtual education and detect  success cases,

 follow-up the optimizing of the learning infrastructures on-line (UVT access centers, the platform),

 devise communication aids destined for students and educators.
